Sandwitches, FARMS, Vacation Dad

(a) If you have a tendancy to forget how to rock, (b) if you wake up one day and absolutely cannot recall how it feels to air-drum while tossing your head about, (c) if your feet lose the muscle memory for two-step shuffling…listen to some (a) Vaca-dad, (b) FARMS, or (c) Sandwitches.

Listen Rinse Repeat. Listen Rinse Repeat. Listen Rinse Repeat. Listen Rinse Repeat until ears ring and head begins to buzz.

Icarus Himself, Mike Behrends

The night before Valentines day, lovers of story telling songs met at the Lodge amidst Mackie’s He(ART) creations waiting to be wooed with microphones and amps. Icarus Himself shook the Lodge’s rafters with heavily fuzzed guitars, trumpets, and kickdrums, burning our faces with bright sound that seemed much too large for the gandma’s attic scene that they created on stage. After the mind buzzing set, Behrends (or Bear Ends as we decided he should be called) set our thumping hearts at ease with a masterful solo set on accoustic and electric guitar.

Ridley CD Release Party

A sea of quarter inches and xlrs exploded out of duffel bags and onto the project lodge stage when Ridley arrived, preparing to set up their show. When the lights went down, headphones replaced monitors and a mac gleamed majestically on stage. Ridley’s new EP “I-VII” has an electronically produced sound that heavily influenced by Ridey’s rock roots (audible in the playfully shredded guitar sprinkled amidst backing tracks).
