Onstage Banter through two sets, all about a wooden monkey that went missing at a wedding, might be the best way to build continuity between two bands with very little in common musically. Judson Claiborne started us off (after their chess game finished in back) with nuanced vocals and delicate but strong musicianship, followed by the electric drone permeated with pop tones of the obviously indescribable Sonoi. A real treat of a night if we do say ourselves. (And we do. We do!)
